The Simmo Segment
Welcome to the first of our new monthly series- The Simmo Segment...Simmo has had a short time to get his feet under the desk here at Team Traffio, but we couldn't let him warm it up for too long before we sent him out and about.
For the first installation of The Simmo Segment, Simmo was on a plane with the Demo Master Brad! For the gents, Adelaide was all about attending the TMAA meeting, networking and catching up with our valued customers and meeting with some who have been looking at coming across to Traffio for some time. Which is always exciting, it means we may have even more faces join us for Traffiocon!
Before Simmo could even catch his breath once landed in Melbourne, we sent him packing again and he was off again, this time solo to the Northern Territory! And let us tell you the team here in Melbourne was jealous- given Simmo escaped the Melbourne cold.
In the NT, Simmo caught up and spoke with the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL). This included a discussion on the TMA utilisation in NT, and the new Procurement function in Traffio, as well as how DIPL may be able to use Traffio to help track training hours for those who need it. As you can see above, Simmo is with the DIPL team in front of Traffexweks NT's new TMA- shout out to Chris from Trafficwerks who made the TMA Available.
One thing we value at Traffio are the people in our network, especially our customers. Nothing beats bumping into our customers, but the fact that Simmo was also bumping into people in NT was pretty cool to see. Simmo said: "It was great to catch up with the team from Gradient unexpectedly while in the NT, you never know who you will see when out and about, and given Gradient are customers it was nice to spend some time with them while up north". In the photo, you can see the team at Gradient (Oggy and Cihan) which made it a great end to the trip for Simmo.
Some of the key take ways that Simmo had in this trip was that it is great to see the Northern Territory looking to adopt and utilise TMAs, which as we know saves lives and reduces the risk for those on the road (meaning hopefully less Near Miss submissions in the Traffio app).
It was great to be in these discussions and help showcase how Traffio can support new training elements and see how the procurement portal rolling out can assist at the project management level reducing even more stress for our customers and their teams.
Luckily for us, Simmo spent the weekend there for some personal time and still had him come back in one piece after successfully heading on an adventure to see the Jumping Crocs.
