More efficiency with Traffio Tasks & Hire
Last month, we launched a feature that will make managing bookings even more streamlined and efficient… Introducing:
Tasks and Hire.
Originally built to address a missing piece in the UK market. We quickly saw its potential to benefit our other global markets as well. This new addition brings a host of benefits to our customers, ensuring that their operations run smoothly, their equipment stays organised, and their teams are always on top of their tasks, all while maintaining full transparency.
Tasks asks are designed to keep everything organised. They provide a way to manage jobs involving equipment that’s placed in the field and maintained throughout the job/booking. With the ability to track actions, allocate work, and schedule multiple activities within a day—particularly for extended jobs/bookings, the Tasks feature ensures no task is ever missed, and no equipment goes untracked. The benefit? Everything is connected to the existing job/bookings, meaning every task has a defined start and end date that aligns with the job/booking’s duration.
Hire: Hire bookings are a completely new type of booking that only involve equipment and/or vehicles. They can be used in close conjunction with Tasks for a variety of scenarios and a variety of businesses! This is a feature that is designed to be used for an extended period of time (but can be used for shorter times too).

One of the key features of Tasks is its flexibility. Customers can set tasks to repeat on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, making it perfect for those regular maintenance jobs or recurring activities that are part of a customer's operations. Specific team members can also be assigned to each task.
And while Tasks are tied to jobs or booking, they also allow for the flexibility of location adjustments—so tasks don’t have to take place at the same location as the booking itself. Need to change up a task’s location? No problem. Tasks can be adjusted as needed, offering a great deal of customisation.
Another great benefit is that Tasks can be categorised as either billable or non-billable, depending on how a business operates. Forms associated with each task can be made mandatory or optional, ensuring all necessary details are captured in the right context—whether for compliance, quality control, or documentation.
Simplifying workflows and enhancing productivity is essential, and Tasks & Hire does just that. Like all our other features, Tasks & Hire is included in an all-inclusive Traffio subscription. This means no extra fees for parts of the software, making it a truly cost-effective solution.
