Simmo's Segment October 2024
Well October wasn’t only busy for the team in general, we had Simmo out and about, just about everywhere!
As we continue to grow in the industries we service, Simmo is there to be a conduit for engagement and for being across the issues we need to know to make sure we are supporting and developing accordingly. This month was no exception.
TMAA Queensland Golf Day
Simmo said “It is great to see the golf days back on and running across the states after a short hiatus” for the Queensland Golf Day, Simmo reported it was a fantastic course and weather delivered, which always makes it enjoyable. He caught up face to face with current customers along side the trip and on the course, and caught up with Protech Traffic.
TMAA Safety, Technology & Innovation Subcommittee Meeting
There were two meetings in October, both of which Simmo attended. With a key foc
us on the Association pushing broader industry to support innovations that remove TC's from line of fire, being in the room is of value to us in how we can support and adapt Traffio to help with these changes. Its giving us the understanding of what may be to come to help everyone get home safe.
TMAA State Meetings
Queensland and Western Australia were business as usual, and of course just great for us to be in the room and or online, to support and understand what is going on. Of course the Victorian Meeting was held as part of Trafficon.
AUSJET Expo
With all the development that has occured in Traffio over the years, we are seeing more uptake with industries outside of Temporary Traffic management, and so we are always exploring what other industries we can service. Not only was the AUSJET Expo about seeing what we may be able to service, who is attending and what we may be able to do better, it was an opportunity for Simmo to catch up with some old contacts. It was great to see what is on offer at AUSJET and how other industries are growing and operating.
TMAA VIC Golf Day
The TMAA VIC golf day returned after four years - cancelled twice due to 2 x COVID Lockdowns and once due to extreme flooding.It also meant Simmo not only didn’t need to travel, but finally got to play at his home course Gardiners Run for the event - he put in a shocking performance on the day! But Kat, won nearest the pin on the Traffio sponsored hole, which is always what you aim for lol. Kat then passed on to the next best.

National Roads & Traffic
A good few days that allowed Simmo to get right into everything at Traffio and connect with those who are looking to make a change in their business for the best. It also included the TMAA evening networking drinks which was held at General Assembly.
